What the app does with your data

• No account. There is nothing to sign up for. A licence key is pasted into the app and verified locally with a cryptographic signature; the app does not contact a server to check it.
• No cloud. Reading, classification, search and the assistant all run on your own hardware. Documents are never uploaded.
• No telemetry. The app sends no usage data. Crash reports are written to a local file and are never transmitted unless you choose to send one yourself.
• No network calls in this build. “Check for updates” answers locally that automatic updates are not available yet, and contacts no server. When updates ship, the check will fetch a version file and send nothing beyond that request.
• Your files stay put. DocuAI never moves, renames, copies or modifies your original files. It builds its own index in its own database.
• The index is encrypted. The database that holds extracted text and fields is encrypted on disk. A PIN lock protects the key, and backups are protected by a passphrase you choose.
• Chat history is off by default. Saving conversations is opt-in and, when on, encrypted with the rest of the vault.
• Optional cloud chat is off by default. A consent-gated option lets you route a question to an external AI service if you choose; it is clearly indicated when active and never on unless you turn it on.
• AI assistant access is local and off unless you set it up. If you connect your own assistant (Claude Desktop, Cursor and similar), the connection runs on your machine, read-only by default.

This website

This site is static: no analytics, no cookies, no third-party fonts or scripts. Purchases are handled by our merchant of record (Paddle), whose own privacy policy applies to the checkout.
